For existing users of SIXTE, we have some quick instructions on how to run your simulations with the new SIXTE version:

General

All SIMPUTs that worked with previous versions of SIXTE are still valid!

When supplying multiple SIMPUT files, they now need to be specified as a comma separated list, not in multiple parameters (Simput=…, Simput2=…, etc.)

Aside from that, all full e2e simulator tools have now been replaced with sixtesim

runsixt

Aside from the SIMPUT specification and using a new XML, it should suffice to simply replace runsixt with sixtesim

athenawfisim

To run the full WFI, simply specify an XML of the WFI which contains all chips to sixtesim

erosim

To simulate all telescopes of erosita, supply the seven telescope XMLs as a comma-separated list to sixtesim.
Furthermore, to produce eventfiles compatible with the eSASS, the MJDREF keyword needs to be manually set to 51543.8750.

xifupipeline

To run the X-IFU, sixtesim only needs a single XML — the AdvXml keyword no longer exists, the information in this XML is now part of the standard XML files.
