Companion

Type: Thought to be a brown dwarf.

Available Data

  • RXTE: Many observations from 1998 to 2011 for exposures ≤29 ksec.
  • CHANDRA: Two observations in 2005 for 14 ksec and 4 ksec, as well as one observation in 2011 for 100 ksec.
  • XMM-Newton: Observations from 2000 to 2007. Longest exposure 57 ksec.
  • Swift: Many observations from 2005 to 2011. Longest exposure 9 ksec.
  • SUZAKU: Many observations in 2008. Longest exposure 42 ksec.

Flux

  • Luminosity in quiescence: 5 x 1035 erg.s-1 ([4])


Swift and RXTE observed the 2011 outburst and detected a flux of:

  • F(2-10 keV) = 1.71 x 10-9 erg.cm-2.s-1
  • F(2.5-25 keV) = 2.35 x 10-9 erg.cm-2.s-1 ([5])
