The conference venue is the Aula of Friedrich-Alexander-University in Erlangen (Schlossplatz 4, 91054 Erlangen, 49.597879N, 11.004612E) conveniently located in the center of Erlangen, about five minutes of Erlangen train station.
How to get to Erlangen:
By train: Erlangen is on the S-Bahn from Nuremberg to Bamberg, which runs every half hour. The trip from Nuremberg to Erlangen takes about 20 minutes, the trip from Bamberg takes about 30 minutes. Most ICE trains on the Munich-Berlin route stop in Erlangen.
By plane: The closest airport to Erlangen is Nuremberg airport (NUE), which is well connected to most airline hubs in Europe. NUE has a direct bus connection to Erlangen train station, which is close to the conference venue (takes about 40 minutes). Alternatively, take the S-Bahn from NUE to Nuremberg main train station and then hop on the S-Bahn or regional train to Erlangen. Alternative airports are Frankfurt (FRA) and Munich (MUC). Travel by train from MUC takes about 2.5 hours, travel by train from FRA takes 3 hours.
