Slightly revise the function 'xfig_photometry'

1) The default ylabel is now set properly for any value of the
   qualifier 'exponent'.
2) The default values for width and height are now set such that
   the resulting figure can be included in a two-column LaTeX
   environment rather than in a one-column one.
