{"id":576,"date":"2024-11-04T19:54:58","date_gmt":"2024-11-04T19:54:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sternwarte.uni-erlangen.de\/sixte\/?page_id=576"},"modified":"2025-01-30T11:33:34","modified_gmt":"2025-01-30T11:33:34","slug":"new-version","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.sternwarte.uni-erlangen.de\/sixte\/new-version\/","title":{"rendered":"Switching to the new SIXTE version"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>For existing users of SIXTE, we have some quick instructions on how to run your simulations with the new SIXTE version:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>General<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All SIMPUTs that worked with previous versions of SIXTE are still valid!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When supplying multiple SIMPUT files, they now need to be specified as a <em>comma separated list<\/em>, not in multiple parameters (Simput=\u2026, Simput2=\u2026, etc.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aside from that, all full e2e simulator tools have now been replaced with <code>sixtesim<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>runsixt<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Aside from the SIMPUT specification and using a new XML, it should suffice to simply replace <code>runsixt<\/code> with <code>sixtesim<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>athenawfisim<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To run the full WFI, simply specify an XML of the WFI which contains all chips to <code>sixtesim<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>erosim<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To simulate all telescopes of erosita, supply the seven telescope XMLs as a comma-separated list to <code>sixtesim<\/code>.<br>Furthermore, to produce eventfiles compatible with the eSASS, the MJDREF keyword needs to be <em>manually set<\/em> to 51543.8750 during the <code>sixtesim<\/code> call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>xifupipeline<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To run the X-IFU, <code>sixtesim<\/code> only needs a single XML &#8212; the AdvXml keyword no longer exists, the information in this XML is now part of the standard XML files.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For existing users of SIXTE, we have some quick instructions on how to run your simulations with the new SIXTE version: General All SIMPUTs that worked with previous versions of SIXTE are still valid!
