pictures in the header
Both images are made by simulations explained in my diploma thesis. It shows the innermost 10 gravitational radii of a rapidly accretion disk under a viewing angle of θ = 80°.
- left: energy shift the photons exhibit; the colors indicate the direction of the shift, i.e., blue (red) means higher (lower) energies
- right: distribution of the emission angle between 0° (yellow) and 90° (blue).
